Saputo acquired a plant in Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, which processed liquid whey resulting from its cheese production into value-added products such as lactose and whey protein.

Saputo expands into the USA

The Company established its first manufacturing presence in the United States by acquiring two cheese plants.

Complex in Saint-Léonard

Saputo built its complex in Saint-Léonard, in the greater Montréal area.
