Saputo renews commitment to students in need with $180,000 contribution to the Toronto Foundation for Student Success

Saputo is extending its decade-long partnership with the Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS), committing an additional $180,000 over the next three years to help support the non-profit’s dynamic beyond 3:30 after-school program.

Offered free of charge in 21 schools across the Toronto District School Board, beyond 3:30 provides students between the ages of 8 and 14 with a safe, vibrant space to be themselves after the final bell rings, complete with nutritious meals, fitness activities, and help with homework. The program operates directly in schools, creating a seamless connection between the school day and after-school support.

At the heart of the program is the Junior Chefs’ Club, proudly fueled by Saputo, where kids learn how to cook healthy, affordable meals under the guidance of trained nutrition staff. The goal? Equip students with important practical skills that will last a lifetime, boost their confidence, and make sure no one goes home hungry

“In those critical hours after school, many kids are left without structure or support,” said Stéphanie Roy, Senior Manager of Social Impact and Employee Engagement. “Thanks to our work with the TFSS, we’re able to give students a space where they can build friendships, stay active, and gain real-world skills, from the kitchen to the classroom.”

Saputo has partnered with TFSS since 2014, united by a shared belief that when children are nourished and supported, they’re better equipped to succeed in school – and in life.
