Saputo steps up to the plate with $25,000 for dugout upgrades in Saint John, New Brunswick

The beloved Allison Grounds in Saint John, New Brunswick just got a major upgrade, and local ballplayers are already seeing the benefits!

Thanks to a $25,000 sponsorship from Saputo’s Legacy Program, four new enclosed dugouts have been added to the site’s two ball fields. Designed to keep teams shaded, dry, and protected from stray pop flies, the dugouts offer a safer, more comfortable space for the hundreds of kids and adults who hit the diamond each season.

“This project is a home run in every sense,” said Stéphanie Roy, Senior Manager of Social Impact and Employee Engagement at Saputo. “Through the Legacy Program, we’re happy to create a place where people of all ages can stay active, have fun, and feel connected.”

Since launching in 2013, the Saputo Legacy Program has transformed aging sports facilities and created innovative spaces for people to come together, with over CDN $4 million invested in 88 projects across the world. From batting cages in Vaughan, Ontario, to tennis courts in Victoria, Australia, these projects are more than just investments; they are symbols of Saputo’s commitment to encouraging active lifestyles, promoting community well-being, and forging meaningful legacies for future generations.

With this investment, Saputo continues to step up for communities across Canada, supporting local projects that leave a lasting mark, on and off the field.
