Our employees in the community

Our best comes from our people. Around the word, Saputo employees volunteer their time, money and skills to strengthen their communities. Through various initiatives, we are committed to supporting their efforts.
  • Volunteering Time Off

We empower our employees to volunteer with local charitable organizations. Employees benefit from one paid day per year to serve their community and make a positive impact.
  • You Care We Care

We support employees in the causes they care about and are personally involved in through financial contributions and product donations.

GLOBAL

The Big Cook Up

Launched in 2017, the Saputo Big Cook Up brings together our employees and quality products to give back to the communities where we operate. Our office cafeterias are transformed into bustling community kitchens, uniting our team in a shared mission to fight food insecurity.

AUSTRALIA

Eat Up

In collaboration with Eat Up, staff at our Australian sites regularly volunteer to make sandwiches that are distributed to local schools, ensuring students are not learning on an empty stomach.

Over the past year, employees made over 8,300 sandwiches for Eat Up’s school lunch program, with butter and cheese donated at each sandwich making session.

CANADA

Kelowna Food Bank

A team from our British Columbia Sales group volunteered at the Kelowna Food Bank, helping sort donations and assemble food baskets to support their local community.

UNITED STATES

4-H

As a longstanding partner, 4 H reflects our commitment to the Saputo Promise Community pillar and the positive impact we create beyond our operations. Through this partnership, we welcome youth to our Saputo USA facilities to tour our sites and connect with our leaders and employees. During these visits, our teams share their experiences in the dairy industry, offering students a valuable, hands-on career day that helps inspire future opportunities.

UK Team Gives Back to Local School

The HR team used their paid time off to volunteer at a primary school supporting staff and pupils with practical projects. The team refreshed hallways and bathrooms through painting, while also reorganising two libraries and preparing teaching resources to improve accessibility for students.
